Coleslaw with grape seed oil

A fine coleslaw with grape seed oil that can be served as a side salad with a variety of dishes, such as steaks, with burgers, with baked potatoes or at the next barbecue.

Preparation time

approx. 15 minutes

Ingredients (for approx. 4 people)

- 400 g white cabbage
- 1 large carrot
- 40 g grape seed oil
- 40 g Balsamico Bianco Vinegar
- 50 g agave syrup or maple syrup
- 15 g medium hot mustard, e.g. Vitis Vine mustard
- onion seasoning
- chives, parsley
- salt, pepper
- if desired, a few squirts of lemon juice

Preparation

1) First, finely slice the white cabbage and finely grate the carrot.


2) Mix both together well in a large bowl.


3) For the dressing, mix the grape seed oil with the Balsamico Bianco evenly. Then whisk in the agave syrup or maple syrup and the mustard one after the other.


4) Now season the dressing with onion seasoning, salt, pepper, chives and parsley.


5) Finally, mix the slaw well with the dressing and let it sit for a few hours before serving. Taste again if necessary before serving.


TIP: The slaw with grape seed oil can also be used very well as a topping for a sandwich.
