Strawberry sponge cake

A quick-to-make little strawberry cake delights everyone - and this delicious sweet is a perfect Sunday cake for two.

Baking temperature and preparation time

Convection oven: approx. 40 - 45 minutes at 180 °C
Top and bottom heat: approx. 40 - 45 minutes at 200 °C

Preparation time: approx. 20 minutes + bakingtime

Ingredients (for 1 small loaf pan approx. 15 cm)

- 100 g flour (e.g. wholemeal spelt flour)
- 20 g grape seed flour
- 50 g raw cane sugar or erythritol
- 50 g softened butter
- 150 ml milk
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 150 g strawberries


1st) First wash and clean the strawberries and cut them in half depending on their size.

2) Then preheat the oven.

3.) Now beat the butter with the sugar until fluffy.

4.) Now in a bowl mix the flours with the baking powder.

5) Then mix the flour mixture alternately with the milk into the butter-sugar mixture.

6) Now pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and top with the strawberries.

7.) Then bake the cake for 40 - 45 minutes, let cool and dust with powdered sugar.

TIP: If you want to bake a large loaf pan, you can simply double the ingredients. And if it's not strawberry season, you can also use other seasonal fruits.
